Ivan is from Mendoza, Argentina, where he started his artistic
career as a soloist at 12 years of age. He was trained by his parents
Eduardo Terrazas and Beatriz Herrera in competition Malambo and other
forms of Argentine Folklore, as well as classical ballet and Argentine
Tango.
Sara is from Zagreb, Croatia. Since very young she lived in Los
Angeles, London, Paris where she studied classical ballet, flamenco,
argentine folklore and tango. Her obsession with Argentine Tango started
in the late 1990s at the milongas.
Ivan and Sara met in New York City and have dedicated themselves
with passion and intensity to Argentine Tango. Trained primarily by
Diego DiFalco, Pablo Pugliese and Natalia Hills, and also drawing from
many other influences, such as Jorge Torres, Roberto Herrera, Guillermina
Quiroga, Gabriel Misse, Carlitos Perez and Raul Bravo, together they
are among the youngest and most recognized teachers and performers in
the world of Argentine Tango.
As instructors, they have developed a modern systemic approach to teaching
traditional tango, based on strong fundamentals technique, analytical
thinking of structures, naturalness and comfort in both close and open
embrace. Ivan and Sara encourage students to look for connection, quality
of movement, creative expression and musicality.
After living for 7 years in United States and Argentina, Ivan and Sara
are currently based in Europe, and in addition to being members of the
prestigious company ‘Tangueros del Sur’ directed by Natalia Hills, they
have recently performed with ‘Tangox2’ and ‘Miguel Zotto in Concert’
directed by Miguel Angel Zotto, ‘Obsesion Tango’ directed by Tamara
Bisceglia, and ‘Compania Roberto Herrera’ directed by Roberto Herrera.
Ivan and Sara have appeared, among others, in the shows Romper el Piso
(Israel Dance Festival; Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival; Vail International
Dance Festival; New York City Center), Obsesion Tango at the Borges
Cultural Center, Connectango, Roberto Herrera’s tango company at La
Estancia, the Rhythm and Passion Show, and Borges and Piazzola Tango,
and with the following: the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Romulo Larrea
Tango Orchestra, the Washington Pan-American Symphony Orchestra, the
Eternal Tango Quartet, and Avantango.

Ivan è di Mendoza, Argentina, dove ha cominciato la sua carriera

Ivan e Sara s'incontrano a New York e si dedicano con intensa
passione al Tango Argentino durante sette anni passati in Argentina
e a New York accumulando gli insegnamenti e l'infuenza dei maestri Diego
DiFalco, Pablo Pugliese and Natalia Hills, Jorge Torres, Roberto Herrera,
Guillermina Quiroga, Gabriel Misse, Carlitos Perez e Raul Bravo. Ora
sono tra i più giovani e più apprezzati insegnanti e ballerini nel mondo
del tango argentino.
Come insegnanti hanno sviluppato un sistema moderno di approccio al
tango, basato sull'approfondita tecnica dei fondamentali, analisi logica
delle strutture, naturalezza e comodita dell'abbraccio e della postura,
sia nell'abbraccio aperto che in quello chiuso. Insegnano inoltre a
ricercare la connessione, la qualità del movimento, espressione creativa
e la musicalità.
Dopo 7 anni in Argentina e a New York, Ivan e Sara risiedono attualmente
in Europa, membri della prestigiosa compagnia "Tangueros del Sur" di
Natalia Hills. Recentemente si sono esibiti con ‘Tangox2’, ‘Miguel Zotto
in Concert’, ‘Obsesion Tango’ diretto da Tamara Bisceglia, ‘Compania
Roberto Herrera’. Ivan and Sara hanno partecipato a numerosi eventi
tra cui lo shows Romper el Piso (Israel Dance Festival), Jacob’s Pillow
Dance Festival, Vail International Dance Festival, New York City Center,
Obsesion Tango al Borges Cultural Center, Connectango, Roberto Herrera’s
tango company a La Estancia, The Rhythm and Passion Show, Borges and
Piazzola Tango. Si sono inoltre esibiti con la Vermont Symphony Orchestra,
la Romulo Larrea Tango Orchestra, la Washington Pan-American Symphony
Orchestra, la Eternal Tango Quartet e con Avantango.
